For our March meeting, we will talk amongst ourselves on the topic of Jane Austen retellings, adaptations, reinterpretations, companion pieces -- e.g. books, articles, fan fiction, YouTube videos, podcasts, TikToks, movies…
Pick any one of the following questions and come to the Zoom meeting prepared to discuss in 3 minutes or less:
Was there some insight from any one work that shed light on a character, scene, or event that made you understand Austen better? Is there an interpretation you found ridiculous, delightful or both?
Is there a work you’d like to talk us into reading/hearing/watching?
How and/or when did you come into the Jane Austen world? What drew you in (“arts and allurements”)? What keeps you here?
We will create a shareable list which we will post on our JASNA-MN website Forum (here) at the comments section.
