The photo is from my recent trip to the Seattle and Pac NW area - where I'm hiking in the Hoh Rainforest.
JASNA-MN: How did you hear about JASNAMN?
Janna: My best friend and I (Andrea), along with a few others, get together annually to have a Pride & Prejudice watching marathon. One year we discussed that there HAD to be a community of "Jane-ites" around here, and I became determined to find them. I found the national JASNA page through some internet sleuthing, then saw there was a MN Chapter (we did not have our own website at the time). As it's said, from there, the rest was history.
JASNA-MN: What is your favorite Jane Austen’s book or movies?
Janna: If I have to choose a favorite (feels a bit like choosing a favorite pet or child)...Pride & Prejudice movie (clearly, from the above, the BBC version), and I really like Emma movies (both 1996 version with Kate Beckinsale, and the 2009 mini-series version with Romola Garai)
JASNA-MN: What was your favorite meeting/event so far? Any idea what fun stuff we should do?
Janna: I like the interesting talks, but I think my favorite events are the ones where we are interacting, chatting, sharing, and getting to know each other. I would LOVE a Jane Austen Bar Trivia night!!!
JASNA-MN: How long have you been a member?
Janna: Since 2014, I think? I discovered the chapter RIGHT after we hosted the Pride & Prejudice AGM - d'oh!
JASNA-MN: Tell me a little bit about yourself: hobbies?, hidden talent?
Janna: I have two adorable beagles (NOT biased opinion), come from a large family (even larger than Catherine Morland and our beloved Jane herself), love to garden, cook, bake, and I spend a lot of time at my gym in my spare time. Fun fact: I'm competing in a power lifting meet this fall (eek!).
JASNA-MN: Thank you Janna for your times! See you at next meeting...
