December 16, 2017, JASNA-MN Regional Meeting
On a fitting date last Saturday, the MN region of JASNA celebrated Jane Austen’s 242 nd birthday with fun and fabulous party at the St Paul Hotel. Many thanks to all in attendance with a special note to those dressed in period wear. A lovely sight you all were. We were delighted to have our next door neighbor, Kim Wilson, as our speaker. Her talk on what Mrs. Elton might have served at dinner party was informative and charming. I am not sure I would gather violets for a sweet treat, but hearing about it was fascinating!
We were very lucky to have some of the Region’s member authors selling books at the Emporium along with Julia’s “Bingley Teas” and Matti and Hannah’s “Matti’s Millinery.” Thank you all for participating.
The luncheon included a toast to “Our Jane” and the delicious cake with our new logo as the design. If you have photos to share, please email them to marketing@jasnamn.org.
Best wishes,
Janice M., JASNA-MN Regional Coordinator
P.S. There will be no JASNA-MN meeting in January (we are going back to an older calendar which left January and the AGM months open). We are, however,
planning to attend EMMA in February at the Theater-in- the-Round (visit the members forum post for more details).
