Many thanks to Gina Heath and Ginny Ogura for orchestrating a delightful event for our Jane Austen Birthday Brunch!
Among many things I enjoyed about the talk, was the well done dramatic reading of the letter by Jane Austen to James Stanier Clarke, librarian to the Prince Regent. Indeed, I appreciated the ways Deborah Ultan wove Austen throughout the talk as she invited us to look at images by and of women through time, especially images that challenged and changed how others see us and how we see ourselves.
